These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and your participation in courses offered by Pinehurst. Please read them carefully before registering for any programme. By submitting an enquiry or registering for a course, you agree to these terms.

1. About Pinehurst

Pinehurst operates as an educational course provider based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Our programmes are designed to help adults read and make sense of common household documents such as bank statements, investment summaries, and EPF reports. All content is educational in nature. Nothing in our courses, materials, or communications constitutes personal financial advice, professional financial planning, or any regulated activity under Malaysian law.

Our programmes are for informational and educational purposes only. Participants should consult a licensed professional for advice specific to their personal circumstances.

2. Registration

Registration for a Pinehurst course is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation email from Pinehurst. Submitting an enquiry form does not constitute a registration or a reservation of a place.

  • Participants must be aged 18 or above.
  • Pinehurst reserves the right to limit class sizes to maintain a suitable learning environment. Courses are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • If a course is full at the time of registration, Pinehurst will inform you and offer placement on a waiting list or in the next available intake, at your discretion.
  • Pinehurst may decline or cancel a registration at its discretion, in which case a full refund of any payment made will be provided.

3. Fees & Payment

Course fees are as published on this website at the time of registration. Pinehurst reserves the right to adjust published prices; any change will be communicated before a registration is confirmed, and you will have the option to proceed or withdraw.

  • Payment is due in full at the time of registration unless a specific arrangement has been agreed in writing with Pinehurst.
  • All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any printed materials listed in the course description.
  • Receipts will be issued upon successful payment.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

10 or more business days Full refund
5 to 9 business days 50% refund, or transfer to the next available intake
Fewer than 5 business days No refund; transfer to the next available intake may be arranged at Pinehurst's discretion
Non-attendance without notice No refund

If Pinehurst cancels or postpones a course for any reason, registered participants will be offered a full refund or a transfer to the rescheduled or next available session.

5. Course Conduct

Pinehurst courses are conducted in a respectful, collegial environment. By registering, participants agree to:

  • Treat facilitators and fellow participants with courtesy.
  • Not record sessions (audio or video) without prior written permission from Pinehurst.
  • Not reproduce, distribute, or resell course materials, worksheets, or printed resources provided by Pinehurst.
  • Use any private online discussion forum access solely for personal learning purposes and not for commercial promotion.

Pinehurst reserves the right to withdraw a participant from a programme, without refund, if conduct is deemed disruptive or inconsistent with these terms.

6. Course Materials

All sample documents, worksheets, reference cards, and printed materials provided in Pinehurst courses are prepared by Pinehurst for educational use. They are:

  • Anonymised or fictitious — they do not represent any real person's financial position.
  • Provided for personal study only and remain the intellectual property of Pinehurst.
  • Not intended to serve as templates for legal, financial, or any professional document preparation.

7. Educational Nature of Courses

All Pinehurst programmes are educational courses designed to improve general document literacy. They are not and do not purport to be:

  • Personal financial advice or financial planning services
  • Investment advice or securities services
  • Legal, accounting, or tax services
  • A licensed qualification or professional certification

Participants should seek advice from appropriately qualified and licensed professionals for matters relating to their personal financial, legal, or tax situation. Pinehurst does not represent, and participants should not rely on the courses as a substitute for, professional advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Malaysian law:

  • Pinehurst's liability in connection with any course or related service is limited to the fee paid by the participant for that specific course.
  • Pinehurst is not liable for any decisions made, or actions taken, by participants based on course content.
  • Pinehurst is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses of any kind arising from participation in a course or use of course materials.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, course descriptions, structure, visual design, and any downloadable materials — is the intellectual property of Pinehurst unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, adapt, or redistribute any part of this website or course materials without prior written consent from Pinehurst.

10. Website Use
